Ryūshi first went to the United States to study western style painting but he switched to Japanese style nihonga painting when he returned to Japan. Ryūshi’s compositions tended to be less conventional than the standard nihonga art. This gallery includes fourteen of his flower and (or) bird paintings. Click on a picture to enlarge it.
